Q. Is this frequency necessary? Is it always occurring or only when someone is logged on with the app open (i.e. does it replicate as a service)?
A. Replication is controlled by the Notes Client software, can occur at any interval and will only occur when the application is open. Depending upon the need to distribute the information to other users, the replication schedule should be set to meet the particular needs of the client - Each individual user can set the replication schedule to suit their own needs and the needs of the business.If YOURFunction is operational on only one machine, the replication can occur once a day if asynchronous information distribution is deemed adequate. If the application is present on more than one machine, and each editing user is making changes to the documents, the replication interval should be a bit tighter. Note: Notes replicates in the background so you can do other work while Notes replicates
